Blesbok Hunting in Africa with Bushmen Safaris

The Bushmen Safaris hunting properties will allow hunters to discover a country and wildlife that are among the most beautiful and richest that Africa has to offer. A majority of the safari hunting in South Africa takes place on enclosed private land. The amount of game including the blesbok pictured above on private land is estimated to be two and a half times greater than the game populations found on public lands. The species taken on these private lands such as Bushmen Safaris include the impala, warthog, greater kudu, blesbok, gemsbok, blue wildebeest, zebra, black wildebeest, southern bushbuck, common waterbuck and springbok.

A characteristic of the Blesbok is the prominent white blaze on the face and a horizontal brown strip which divides this blaze above the eyes. Body color is brown with a lighter colored saddle on the back, and the rump an even lighter shade. The legs are brown with a white patch behind the top part of the front legs. Lower legs whitish. Both sexes carry horns, ringed almost to the tip. Female horns are slightly more slender.
